The Coronaca Band was born in the thick of the COVID craze in 2020 when Ben Meredith moved to town. He joined his brother-in-law Jason Brooks (a veteran of the Greenwood music scene) and Brian Bloomer to form the beginnings of a band, practicing trying to remember what it was like when bars and restaurants were open. Soon after, Jason recruited Brian Garrett and Richie Williams to round out the group.
In 2024, Rip Tafta joined the group to add some more guitar power when Brian Garrett is out of town.
They play an eclectic mix of southern rock, blues, 90s hits, and more modern favorites, with a touch of country thrown in.
The entire goal of the Coronaca band playing at a venue is that you have as much fun as they do. Come on out, bob your head and sing along.
